Recuerdos de CPhI (0): Celebrando 25 años...en Paris.

CPhI Worldwide, one of the largest pharma events in the world, has revealed record numbers of visitors and exhibitors at this year’s event.

Organised by UBM Live, CPhIWW was held at the Parc des Expositions in Paris in October and saw a rise of 12 per cent in exhibitors and 7.5 per cent in overseas pre-registrants.

Pre-audit figures estimate that more than 36,000 global pharma executives attended the show and more than 2,500 exhibitors participated, rising from 2,200 exhibitors in 2013.

Chris Kilbee, group director of CPhI, said: “CPhI Worldwide 2014 has been the most successful event in our history by far and it clearly demonstrates the continued growth of the portfolio around the globe. It is now a hugely important event to UBM and we want to position ourselves as innovators within the group.

To have achieved 6 per cent rise in attendees and 12 per cent rise in exhibitors is quite remarkable for an event with 25 years of history behind it. Our strategy of carefully listening to our customers, incorporating integrated elements and continually opening up the exhibition to other sectors of the pharmaceutical supply chain will be key to how we grow the event in the coming years.

Visitors represented 153 countries and 22 country pavilions, including China, India, USA and Brazil.
