Stomp is a non-traditional dance troupe (originating in Brighton, UK) that uses the body and ordinary objects to create a physical theatre performance.
They use everyday objects to create a musical performance.
The term may also refer to a distinct sub-genre of physical theatre where the body is incorporated with other objects as a means of producing percussion and movement that has echoes of tribal dance.
Stomp is a skill that can be learned by anyone if enough time and effort is put into it. The performer must have co-ordination and be able to work in a group. Stomp is making a rhythm out of body parts and objects, E.G. dustbins, paper, rulers etc... anything that makes a sound.
