Physician Payment Sunshine Act: Overview and Practical Implications

According to some surveys, over 90% of all physicians have some interactions with pharmaceutical and device companies, and over 80% received something of value from such companies, including food, honoraria, consultant fees and research grants.

In the past years, several states have enacted laws requiring pharmaceutical companies to report some of these interactions. In addition, recent corporate integrity agreements have contained requirements for companies to disclose their financial relationships with healthcare professionals. (Más)
